During my time at Kennesaw State University, I maintained a 3.9 GPA while balancing multiple roles, including working as a cake decorator, photographer, and later as a server, alongside my internship at Together For You, Inc. From 2023–2025, I was a member of the Kennesaw State Equestrian Team and served as Vice President during my final year. I was consistently recognized on the President’s or Dean’s List each semester and will be graduating this May.

During high school, I maintained a 4.0 GPA while working part-time as a cake decorator and photographer. I was a member of the SFHS Equestrian Team during my freshman and sophomore years. In 2021, I was selected as a Semi-Finalist for the Governor’s Honors Program in Visual Arts. In my final two years, I was a member of both the National Honor Society and the National Art Honor Society, serving as President of the National Art Honor Society in my senior year and graduating with high honors.

Torqued Visuals

Owner and Head Photographer

In 2019, after taking a Photography class that launched my interest, I began to pursue photography and started my own small business, Torqued Visuals. At Torqued Visuals, I create visual content for clients that matches their brand goals and target audience. I use basic design principles like visual hierarchy, consistency, and iteration to improve my work through feedback and revisions. I also run the business’s social media by creating and posting content that keeps the brand consistent and helps connect with followers.

Shift Lead and Decorator

During my sophomore year of high school, I began working part-time to start saving for college. With an interest in baking and a background in art, I chose to work as a Cake Decorator and was later promoted to Shift Lead. In this role, I created accurate, customized cake orders while working in a fast-paced environment. I regularly worked with customers to make sure their requests were met and handled concerns quickly to maintain a positive experience. As a Shift Lead, I also supported daily operations by supervising team members, coordinating tasks, and helping the team stay organized and on schedule.

Q Korean BBQ and Revolving Sushi:  Kennesaw, GA

Hostess and Server

After getting settled into college at Kennesaw State University, I was no longer able to commute to Cumming, GA, for work. After a long search, I began a role as a Hostess and Server. In this position, I greeted guests, managed seating, and helped maintain an organized and welcoming environment. I took orders, delivered food accurately, and worked closely with the team to keep service running smoothly during busy shifts. I also handled customer questions and concerns to ensure a positive dining experience.

Cake Decorator

Not long after starting college, I began to miss my job as a cake decorator. I was fortunately recommended to a closer location and began working as a cake decorator once again. At this location, foot traffic and order volume were much higher. I created accurate, customized cake orders while working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. I managed multiple orders at once, paid close attention to detail, and ensured each cake met quality and design standards. I also worked closely with team members to keep production moving smoothly during peak business hours.

Together For You, Inc:

Co-Lead UX/UI Design Intern

In the beginning of my senior year, I was fortunate enough to land an internship with Together For You, Inc. Together For You, Inc. was created to help individuals and families by providing mentorship, education, advocacy, and access to resources. Over the course of my internship, I was placed as a Co-Lead to help with the beginning stages of an app design for their company. In this role, I worked closely with my team, meeting weekly to brainstorm ideas, create wireframes, and plan for user interviews. I also helped design user interfaces that aligned with the organization’s goals and focused on making the app user-friendly and accessible.

Shift Lead 

With graduation approaching, I made the decision to switch to a slower-paced environment so that I could balance school, work, extracurriculars, and my internship. At Pochino Italy, I handle customer transactions, take orders, and ensure accuracy at the register during busy shifts. I support daily operations by helping manage staff, coordinating tasks, and keeping service running smoothly. I also assist with opening and closing duties, handle customer questions or concerns, and help maintain a clean, organized front-of-house environment.
